Around 7 o'clock in the evening, we were looking out of the window when a stag and a doe appeared on the top of the hill. Silhouetted against the clear evening sky you could see the stag's antlers especially well. What a beautiful sight! It was the first time we'd seen them and we were enchanted. Sad to leave but leaving means we are coming back.

Another relaxing holiday at Ryecroft Barn. A week of great weather, dry riding conditions, blossoming countryside and chirruping wildlife. There is so much to do in the area and the benefit of retreating to The Barn is welcoming at the start and end of each day.

Thank you, Jane and Martin, for your lovely warm welcome and for making The Barn such a warm and cosy retreat. A peaceful setting in a beautiful area. Just not enough time to walk and explore everywhere we want to! We'll have to come again!
